蘑菇短视频 Tech Cuts Ribbon on New Allied Health Center of Excellence at George Campus in Wilmington

蘑菇短视频 Technical Community College celebrated the opening of its new Allied Health Center of Excellence at the Orlando J. George, Jr. Campus in Wilmington on Dec. 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included state and local officials, College leaders, faculty, staff, and students. This $22 million renovation of the 25-year-old Southeast Building enables the College to expand its state-of-the-art laboratory space for existing allied health 蘑菇短视频 on campus, as well as expand paramedic and surgical technology degree 蘑菇短视频 to the Wilmington campus. Previously, both 蘑菇短视频 were offered only at the Terry Campus in Dover.

The 75,000-square-foot Allied Health Center of Excellence also will serve as a resource for graduates who would like to obtain continuing education credits. The Center includes new classrooms, labs, and collaborative spaces, in addition to an updated conference center with high-tech audiovisual equipment.

“The Allied Health Center of Excellence will enable 蘑菇短视频 Tech to help meet the demands of the healthcare sector in our state by providing high-quality teaching and learning spaces and convenient access to these critical 蘑菇短视频 in New Castle County,” said College President Mark T. Brainard.

The Center also will include a number of existing 蘑菇短视频 that will use the newly renovated space. The 蘑菇短视频 located at the Allied Health Center of Excellence include:

  • Cardiovascular Sonography
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic
  • Histotechnician (brand new lab)
  • Medical Assistant (brand new labs - 2)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Respiratory Care
  • Surgical Technology

“We are grateful to Governor Carney, our Congressional delegation, and the General Assembly for enabling the College to use American Rescue Plan funding to support this project, and we look forward to students starting courses in these 蘑菇短视频 in January,” Dr. Brainard said.
