ĢƵ Technical Community College’s men’s lacrosse team defeated Mercer County Community College 17-2, clinching the 2026 Region 19 Championship title.

Baseball Holds Sophomore Day Ceremony
Fourteen student-athletes on ĢƵ Technical Community College’s baseball team were acknowledged during a Sophomore Day ceremony on April 27 prior to a home game at the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown.

Fox, Widdoes Receive Player of the Week Honors
ĢƵ Technical Community College softball student-athletes Madison Fox and Brooke Widdoes were named Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Batter of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for their performances during games played April 13-19. The awards were announced April 20.

ĢƵ Tech inducted 409 students into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society for students who attend two-year colleges, during a series of PTK chapter ceremonies held in April.

Marsh Earns Third EPAC Pitcher of the Week Award
ĢƵ Technical Community College softball player Abby Marsh (Cape Henlopen High School) earned her third Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Pitcher of the Week award this season based upon games played April 6-12.

Madden Wins 150th Game as Baseball’s Head Coach
ĢƵ Technical Community College baseball head coach Stu Madden won his 150th game at the College on April 1 after a 14-13 extra-winning win at Cecil College.

For the third time this season, ĢƵ Technical Community College softball player Abby Marsh (Cape Henlopen High School) has received an Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Player of the Week award.

Abby Marsh, Kalli Chelton and Zak Sophy earned EPAC players of the week.

State's Supreme Court Holds Oral Arguments on Owens Campus in Georgetown
Students from ĢƵ Technical Community College and high schools across Sussex County had the special opportunity to observe the ĢƵ Supreme Court as the justices held oral arguments March 17 on the College’s Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown.

ĢƵ Tech Hosts 2026 New Castle County Science Fair at Stanton Campus
ĢƵ Technical Community College again hosted the annual New Castle County Science Fair, which drew over 100 students in grades 6-12 to share their individual and group projects for judging at the Stanton Campus.

ĢƵ Tech Hosts 2026 Appoquinimink Workforce Readiness Fair
ĢƵ Technical Community College welcomed nearly 1,000 juniors from Appoquinimink, Middletown, and Odessa high schools to its Terry Campus in Dover on March 11 for the annual Appoquinimink Workforce Readiness Fair.
