Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Excellence 2025
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College is proud to recognize the students who achieved academic excellence during 2023 and were named to the College's President's List or Dean's List. This list was created as of January 17, 2024, and any grade changes that would impact academic excellence after that date will not be reflected.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech Men’s Basketball Co-Captains Recognized by EPAC
Three sophomore co-captains on the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College men’s basketball team have been recognized by the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) for their outstanding performance during the 2024-2025 season. The players include Drew Zimmerman (#5), Toma Smith (#13), and Cameron Moore (#1), who were each awarded a Player of the Week title this season.

TRIO - Upward Bound Math & Science Student Awarded $24,000 Scholarship
Breanna Vicente Huinac, a high school junior enrolled in Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College’s TRIO - Upward Bound Math & Science program, has been named the recipient of the Donald and Nancy Edwards Scholarship. The scholarship, awarded through the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Community Foundation, provides $24,000 (at $6,000 per year) that can be used at any accredited college for any major.

Commercial Transportation Program Delivers for Wreaths Across America Initiative
Renewing its commitment to a nationwide holiday tradition, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College’s commercial transportation program supported Wreaths Across America’s annual December wreath-laying ceremonies by picking up and delivering more than 5,000 wreaths to ultimately be placed on grave sites of military members across the region.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College celebrated the opening of its new Allied Health Center of Excellence at the Orlando J. George, Jr. Campus in Wilmington on Dec. 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included state and local officials, College leaders, faculty, staff, and students. After an impressive 2024 season, the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech women’s volleyball team earned a spot as the second seed in the NJCAA Region 19 Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech Men’s Cross Country Team Claims Region Title for Second Consecutive Year
The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College men’s cross country team claimed the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Division II Men’s Championship at the regional championship meet in Newark, N.J., and sophomore Brayden Fosty won the individual men’s title for the second year in a row.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Ace Women’s Network (DAWN) presented Amanda Lemmon with its Rising Star Award during an awards ceremony at the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College Stanton Campus on Oct. 15. A proud Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech alumna, Lemmon is the director of communication and planning on the College’s George Campus in Wilmington.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech Students Launch a Rocket into Space
As part of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Space Grant Consortium, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech participated in NASA's RockOn! Workshop at the Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia. This annual event invites college students and faculty to assemble a rocket from a kit and launch it into space.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech’s Annual Hometown Heroes 5k Raises Funds for Student Scholarships
More than 300 runners and walkers joined Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College employees, students, and volunteers on Sept. 18 for the annual Hometown Heroes 5k Run/1 Mile Walk hosted by the College’s Stanton and Wilmington campuses. This year’s race raised nearly $20,000 for student scholarships.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech’s Run, White, & Blue Attracts Almost 700 Participants and Remembers Fallen Firefighter, Thomas Berry III
The 11th annual Run, White, & Blue 5k Run/1-Mi Walk drew 695 runners and walkers on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College’s Owens Campus in Georgetown and raised over $26,000, which will support scholarships for veterans and first responders.

Attendees of the 2024 Central Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Economic Summit, hosted by the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Tech Terry Campus in Dover on September 17, learned about Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ's recreational marijuana industry and its impact on local business.

Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Technical Community College is proud of the 21 student-athletes who earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ honors for their academic achievements during the 2023-24 season, as well as the College softball team, which received NJCAA Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ Team of the Year honors.
